I went up to Lunenburg Vermont, I think that is the town it was very small. There weren't too many stores around. To get to Lunenburg you take 93 North straight up till it ends in Vermont.
Driving through New Hampshire I saw signs for Romney, Ron Paul, Edwards, and Hillary. I actually thought I would see more. I view that as my little independent poll.
We went to dinner at the White Mountain Inn. It is a beautiful old Yankee hotel. I was impressed by the all you can eat buffet, every Thanksgiving favorite you would want. I was a little surprised by the fact that they felt it necessary to have a children’s buffet with hot dogs and chicken fingers. I would think that most children would find something on a traditional Thanksgiving dinner table they would eat. Are we creating a generation of children (or parents) that are so limited in what they will eat that one night a year they can’t even join in on the tradition?
I had a great Thanksgiving. This year one of my friend’s Mother ended up in the hospital the week before Thanksgiving. I offered to cook her family a Thanksgiving dinner. I know with her mother in the hospital and young children to take care of it would be hard for her to coordinate everything. I felt very guilty how good I felt helping. It turned out to be a delicious dinner.
Lately I haven’t feeling very creative. Feeling good about myself…but not creative. I am not writing very much, I have no knitting projects underway, and I am not feeling a lot of inspiration.
